Leap CRM API Guide for Contractors (Formerly JobProgress)

One-line verdict: First, the name: JobProgress is now Leap CRM — and Leap doesn’t hand you an API key. Connections run through its partner list and Zapier. Openness: 2 / 5 — rated 2 because no public API or developer documentation appears in the vendor’s own materials, while named partner integrations and a real Zapier bridge keep it off the floor.

The connection that works

The product itself changed. JobProgress’s own site carries the banner “JobProgress is now Leap CRM,” and the successor product — Leap CRM, alongside its SalesPro app — covers sales through production for home-improvement businesses. If a tool or a salesperson offers you a “JobProgress integration,” they’re describing a product that no longer sells under that name.

Direct connection: none documented. We found no developer documentation, API reference, or documented API credentials anywhere in Leap’s or JobProgress’s own materials — no endpoints, no auth model, no rate limits, because there is no public API presented to build against. A third-party integration document describes a token flow inside one partner’s setup; that is not a vendor source, and under this directory’s standard it does not verify a public API.

What the vendor does name is partners. Leap’s pages list 35+ partner integrations — QuickBooks, EagleView, Hover, CompanyCam, SRS Distribution, Angi Leads, and Zapier among them — and note the Team plan includes all integrations at no extra cost for access. Those are vendor-arranged connections: each does the one job it was built for.

Bridge apps: Leap’s own partner page confirms the Leap ↔ Zapier connection (“connect to 5,000+ apps”). Zapier’s Leap CRM listings (bridge evidence) show triggers for New Customer, New Lead, and Job Workflow Stage Changed, and actions to Create Lead and Create Customer. Several listings still carry legacy JobProgress wording — same product lineage. No Make app was found.

Can automate

Can’t automate

Hidden gate: There is no JobProgress to connect to anymore — it is Leap CRM now, and Leap does not hand you an API key; connections go through its partner list and Zapier. Anything deeper has to be built around it, not inside it.

Build fit — what this platform supports well

What this means for your shop

If you’re on Leap CRM (or still calling it JobProgress), your automation lives on the bridge and the partner list: leads and customers move, stages signal, and the rest runs outside. That’s workable for front-of-pipeline follow-up. Just scope any builder’s quote to the Zapier surface and the partners you actually use — and make sure the paperwork uses the product’s current name.
