Can Your Software Run AI?
Every contractor software vendor now claims it’s “AI-powered.” Some of it is real. Some of it is a press release. In under a minute, this check tells you — goal by goal — what your current program can actually do today, what needs a workaround, and what it flat-out cannot do. Then, if you want, email yourself the full verdict.

How the check works
- Pick the program that runs your jobs — the eight platforms most residential contractors actually use, plus an honest answer for spreadsheets and paper.
- Pick up to three things you want off your plate — after-hours calls, estimate follow-up, reviews, chasing payments, scheduling, lead intake, a real dashboard.
- Get a verdict for each one — from the vendor’s own published documentation, not a sales deck. No signup to see it; the email box comes after, only if you want the verdict sent to you.
The four verdicts, in plain English
Works today — your program can do it now, built in or through its own connections. Somebody still has to set it up.
Works — with a workaround — it can be done, through the platform’s connections or an official add-on, but something gets traded away to get there. The card tells you what.
Our system handles it — your program can’t do it, so the piece runs on AltaPoint’s governed system instead: your number, your consent records, your send limits. That’s the floor, not a failure — it’s how a closed program still runs the full system.
Blocked — it can’t be done safely without breaking the program’s rules or its terms. We’d rather tell you that than sell you a workaround that gets your account flagged.
Sample — a Jobber shop that picked after-hours answering, estimate follow-up, and review requests.
Your Jobber verdict
Openness 5/5 — that scores how openly it connects, not how good the software is.
Your software isn't what's holding you back — every goal you picked can connect today.
Jobber has a built-in lead inbox (Requests) and verified alerts — after-hours leads and booked jobs write straight in. The phone part itself is ours, by design.
What it takes: Needs: nothing special — the connection is open.
Quotes are read/write through the API, and Jobber's Zapier triggers fire on Quote Sent and Quote Approved — the strongest verified follow-up path in this directory.
What it takes: Needs: nothing special — the connection is open.
Job-completion alerts trigger the ask. The review flow itself runs on our system + Google — no platform here exposes a reviews API.
What it takes: Needs: nothing special — the connection is open.
Verdicts from published vendor documentation, checked October 2025. Not a hands-on test of your account — your plan tier and setup can change an answer, and that gets confirmed before anything is quoted.
Questions contractors ask
Does it cost anything? No. The check is free, your verdict is free, and emailing it to yourself is free.
How do I get the full verdict? Answer the questions — your verdict shows on this page, no signup. If you want it in your inbox with the full breakdown, there’s a box under it.
Why might my verdict differ from what a vendor told me? Verdicts come from published documentation, checked October 2025 — not from a rep’s pitch and not from testing your account. Plan tiers and add-ons change answers; that’s flagged on the cards it affects, and it’s confirmed before anything is quoted.
What if my program isn’t listed? Pick “Spreadsheets, paper, or something else.” You’ll get the most honest answer in the tool — and the simplest path forward.
