Service Autopilot API Guide for Contractors

One-line verdict: There is no API to review — Service Autopilot says so itself, in its own FAQ, in one sentence. Openness: 1 / 5 — rated 1 because the vendor states it has no open API and does not allow Zapier integration; the only connections are syncs Service Autopilot built itself.

The connection that works

There isn’t one — and that’s the vendor’s own answer. Service Autopilot’s official FAQ answers the question directly: “Do you have an open API or allow for Zapier integration? — We do not have an open API nor do we allow Zapier integration.” No developer portal, no API keys, no documented webhooks, at any plan tier we could find. Don’t confuse this with Zapier’s “Autopilot” app — that’s Autopilot Journeys, a marketing product from a different company.

One forward-looking note, labeled as a promise and not a capability: Service Autopilot’s December 12, 2025 release notes list a Zapier integration as “in progress,” describing members eventually triggering actions in Zapier from Service Autopilot events and pushing data in — “more details to come.” As of the vendor documents we read, it has not shipped, and the FAQ still says Zapier is not allowed. The day it ships, this page’s score changes. Today it doesn’t count.

What does connect is a short list of vendor-built syncs. Service Autopilot’s support site divides its integrations into fully supported ones — built with its own engineering team — and “form/email integrations,” which it states plainly are “not true integrations.” The supported list: QuickBooks Desktop and Online, SendJim, Quality Driven Software, FleetSharp, its payment partners, Twilio, Google Maps, and routing tools. The heavyweight is the QuickBooks sync: two-way, covering customers, invoices, payments, payment methods, and items — with one documented exclusion worth knowing: estimates do not sync, which Service Autopilot attributes to incompatibility between how the two systems handle them. Neither Zapier nor Make appears anywhere on the vendor’s list.

Can automate

Can’t automate

Hidden gate: There is no door to open — no open API and no Zapier today, only the connections Service Autopilot built itself, like its QuickBooks sync. If your growth plan needs your software to talk to anything else, that conversation happens before you renew, not after.

Build fit — what this platform supports well

What this means for your shop

If you run Service Autopilot for lawn, landscape, cleaning, or snow routes and everything you need lives inside it, this score may never bite you. The moment you want a lead tool, a follow-up system, or a dashboard it doesn’t ship, you hit the wall its own FAQ describes. Plan around it: capture leads outside, keep the money chase in QuickBooks, and put “open API or shipped Zapier” on your renewal checklist in writing.
